S.Shamim AKhter

 

 

S.Shamim Akhter is the former Secretary of the Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan (ICSP). He became member of the Institute in the year 1993 while serving Institute’s Councils since last 16 years. He has been a member and Chairman of the Karachi Branch Council of the Institute during 1997-1999 and since 2000 is serving National Council of the Institute in different capacities; last being the Vice President. For the year 2012 the Council has unanimously elected him as President of the Institute.
He is a fellow member of Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan, Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and fellow member of the Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants. Syed Shakeel ur Rehman is a meticulous professional and is familiar among the professionals for his introspective and prudent approach and excellent leadership qualities. He has a diversified professional experience of over 22 years in the field of financial services, accounting, audit, business consultancy and taxation. During his professional career, he served various organizations at senior management positions and his last engagement was as a chief operating officer of a financial institution. He is also representing the ICSP at the Board of Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance as a director. Presently, he is involved in two chartered accountant firms; one as a proprietor and the other as a senior partner.
